    it turns out that there is no better substitute for therapy or drugs than feeling loved by those who don't have to love you. that is what my more-than-acquaintances gave me yesterday, the best gift of all. i know, i'm starting to sound like a hallmark card but the truth is, i feel like a hallmark card. i have tried so hard to be disliked along the years that it is really disheartening when so many people actually put a willful effort into doing something nice for you. yesterday was the last straw...
